Great Wall of prayer

We have been learning about the importance of prayer in our lives and how we can easily have 'conversations' with God, anywhere and everywhere and at anytime! Roôm 8 together with our buddy class room 5 created The Great Wall of Prayer by offering up different types of prayers-prayers of thanksgiving, prayers to seek God's help and guidance, prayers of love...

Sub superhero run

The children had a mufti day at school to raise funds for  children  with Cancer- a great initiative by Mrs Young. The theme for the day was 'superheroes' which fits really well with young children who may be undergoing treatment for cancer. Many of the children (and a few adults) got very creative in dressing up as their favourite superheroes and ran as many laps as possible (trying to walk or run a distance of 5km)! Welł done Sjb students! 

Matariki/ Puañga celebrations

The Tamariki have been having an amazing time during our Puañga celebrations. Learning new skills such as 'lantern making', learning about our recycling program, planting native plants all around the school, playing games and all contributing to traditional cloak making. Preparation for our hangi is in full swing!
